Different Types of Carbohydrates




Clover Honey: Fructose, a sugar found in honey. Fructose is a monosaccharide.

Domino Sugar: Sucrose is found in table sugar. Sucrose is a disaccharide consisting of monosaccharides glucose and fructose.

Desi Hatural Dahi, whole milk yogurt: Galactose is a sugar found in yogurt. It is a monosaccharide.

Idaho Potatoes: Starch is a sugar found in potatoes. It is a polysaccharide.







Midland farm milk: lactose is a sugar found in milk. It is a disaccharide that consists of monosaccharides glucose and galactose.

CAM plant

C4 plant

This is a picture of a sugarcane plantation in New Delhi. These plantation are along the main road every where in Delhi. The scientific name is Saccharum officinarum. This one is from a road that leads to Mathura, the place where Lord Krishna was raised. This road is Badambade. Sugarcane are know as C4 plants becasue they are grow well in hot and dry climates, the same applies to corn.
