This is a Hyacinth Macaw. Its scientific name is Anodorhynchus hyacinthinus. This macaw is the largest member of the parrot family. They inhabit forest, palm groves, and swamps in parts of Brazil, Bolivia, and Paraguay. They feed on nuts, seeds, and fruits. Female Hyacinth macaw normally lay up to 2 eggs. They are now considered endangered species.
