This is a Moluccan Cockatoo; its scientific name is Cacatua moluccensis. These birds are one of the largest members of the cockatoo family. These birds feed on fruit, nuts, and insects. At the current stage it is considered an endangered species. I took this picture at the Southwick Zoo; 2 Southwick Street, Mendon MA.
