Photo Size Comparison

Ok, in case you're wondering, my digital camera is a few years old and is 6.0 megapixels in size. When I take the photos, the originals would be this size:
(I choose medium size when I post it).
I use a program called PHOTORESIZER400 which is a free program to reduce the size. Its a drag-n-drop thing so I put the photos through it first and get this:

Its not quite as sharp but its still pretty good and it saves time uploading files. If you've got pretty fast internet, it won't much matter, but it will if you are uploading LOTS of photos at one time.

Ryan; Parasitism

My wife and I go for a 6 mile walk nearly every day. This morning I spied these popping up throughout the woods along our walk. I spied this one at Latitude 42.38672 N / Longitude 71.58446 W. Another way to describe its location would be on Gates Pond Road, 150 yards north of its intersection with River Road E in Hudson, MA.

Indian Pipe Plant; aka Ghost Plant

Welcome to the 2009-2010 AP Biology Summer Scavenger Hunt!!

I think you'll enjoy this assignment (and you'll appreciate the work it when you start with the regular class in the fall). The reason I do this is for you to get some vocabulary down and to learn to apply what you'll be learning about. I look forward to seeing all the photos! The more you post and checkin, the easier it will be to find what you're looking for! Don't forget that zoos and museums can be a tremendous assistance as they've already identified many of the organisms for you!!
