Plant Reproductive Structures

This is Caesalpinia gillesii (Bird of Paradise). I found it in Henderson, Nevada along the road. I thought this flower is unique because of its exposed reproductive organs (long stamen) that extend way past the petals.

  1. Very nice Amit. Ideally, your location should be more specific than just "Henderson, NV". It should state the specific road and distance from another intersection. It should read like this;
    "Collected on Hwy A 0.4 miles north of its intersection with Hwy B."

    No need to change what you've got though unless you know exactly where you found it.
